The day I got married, one of my closest friends looked me in the eye and said "God has many wild and wonderful things ahead for you and Jeremy."

Being called mom by 7 kids is definitely wild. Each day I look for the wonder in it all...and give thanks.

Partnering with my husband in life, parenting, work and serving is definitely wonderful. He is my favorite.

Coming Home 11.28.10 Glitter

We enjoyed the paradise temps of 60-80 degrees in Rwanda, and kinda forgot it was getting close to Christmas.  So when we landed in Brussels where it was 28 degrees and Christmas decorations were in the airport, we were a little

stunned.

We had a 5 hour layover in Brussels.
=)

Larry and Jeanne have friends in Brussels and they got up super early to meet us for breakfast downtown.  We were at the city center around 6 am!

It was still dark so we got to see the Christmas lights.
This is GLITTER!

We enjoyed an absolutely YUMMY breakfast including hot chocolate, Belgian waffles, breads and jams.  We were in a quaint little restaurant sitting next to a warm fire.
MORE GLITTER!

And then 30 hours from the time we left Kigali, we finally see Savannah!
We all missed her terribly, but Wesley missed her the most.  He talked about her a lot the last 2-3 days of the trip.  He was the first to run to her and they hugged for about 30 seconds.
No kidding!
We all had to wait in line to get our hugs.
10 days is a L-O-N-G time to be away from my baby girl!
This is life's best glitter!

Welcome Home.
